Financial Coaching
What is financial coaching?
Once you have completed Jump Start and have assembled your financial information, your next step is to work with a trained financial coach, who will come alongside to help you identify financial challenges, as well as desired goals, and together begin building a plan of action.
The process, which is personalized and non-judgmental, will focus on the basics of money management, personal values, the potential need for behavioral change, and commitment to the money management plan you develop. Your coach will encourage you as you assume responsibility for your decisions, will support continued learning and growth and will serve as an accountability partner throughout the process.
How does coaching work?
You begin the process by completing a coaching application form, where you will have an opportunity to indicate a preference for one of our Covenant coaches to work with you. “We will then assign a coach based on your preference and needs, as well as coach experience and availability,” says Don Meyer, coaching coordinator.
Up to four one-hour coaching sessions are available. All information is kept confidential.
